Is Trump Bringing More Minorities To The Republican Party?
While most racial minorities in the United States still align more with the Democratic Party, Republicans are making gains with those voters.
The shift has come on particularly in a post-Obama political environment since the emergence of Donald Trump.
”Republicans have made significant gains among voters without a college degree, rural voters and white evangelical voters”. The Republican Party has also advanced among hispanic voters (especially protestant).

Despite President Joe Biden telling black voters that they “ain’t black” if they support Donald Trump, more and more minorities are drawn to the 45th President.
A New York Times story on Tuesday – yes, the New York Times – detailed some of this shift, though they downplay it considering the overall numbers.
The Times writes, “Republicans have made significant gains among voters without a college degree, rural voters and white evangelical voters, according to a new report from the Pew Research Center. At the same time, Democrats have held onto key constituencies, such as Black voters and younger voters, and have gained ground with college-educated voters.”
The story continued:
Trump has double-digit Hispanic lead, black and Asian voters also shift to 45/47 as Biden's victory coalition breaks up
@Rasmussen_Poll also doesn't find a big impact on Trump's edge when adding RFK Jr. to the mix.

More Minority Support for Trump
The New York Times reported on its own poll in early March, “The poll shows Mr. Trump edging out Mr. Biden among Hispanic voters, with 46 percent supporting the former president and 40 percent favoring Mr. Biden.”
A New York Times poll also showed Trump’s support among black voters going from 4 percent four years ago to a whopping 23 percent today.
That’ a 19 point bounce – for a Republican the Left never gets tired of calling racist. Apparently that tactic to shoo voters away from Trump has either backfired or many voters could always see through it to begin with.
Joe Biden’s campaign has a number of problems. Add this trend among voters of color to the list.
