Sylvester Stallone Announces He’s ‘Permanently’ Leaving Liberal California As He Moves To Florida – ‘Done Deal’
The legendary Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone of Rocky fame has become the latest in a long line of celebrities to join the mass exodus from the increasingly radically liberal state of California in search of a better life in Florida.
Stallone Flees California For Florida
Stallone and his wife Jennifer Flavin, who he’s been married to for 26 years, revealed this in the season 2 premiere of their reality show “The Family Stallone,” according to Fox News.
“After long, hard consideration, your mother and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” Stallone, 77, told their three daughters Sophia, 27, Sistine, 25, and Scarlet, 21.
“We’re gonna sell this house,” he added. “We already have the place, it’s a done deal.”
Casey DeSantis, the wife of Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, immediately welcomed Stallone to the Sunshine State.
“Welcome to the Free State of Florida!” she wrote on social media. “In addition to respecting and protecting your God-given, constitutional right to be free, you can also buy toothpaste without having an armed guard in CVS unlock it for you.”
Stallone Flees California To Move To Florida
Back in 2021, Stallone bought a $35.4 million home in Palm Beach that sits on 1.5 lakefront acres and faces over 250 feet of beach with a dock. Since then, Stallone and his wife have been splitting their time between Florida and California, but it appears that they are finally ready to cut all ties with the latter liberal state.
Flavin opened up about relocating to Florida back in December, saying, “It’s an incredible move, I have to say I’m really happy with our move and our change.”
“I was born and raised there, two of our kids were born there, but now everyone’s out, our daughters moved to the East Coast … so there wasn’t really anything left for me in California,” she continued. “A few of our best friends also moved, so I think it’s [a] good change, just making new friends, living a totally different lifestyle, I love it, I’m really happy.”
“I think California is probably the most beautiful state in the United States, I absolutely love it, but I just needed a change,” she later added. “I felt like I’ve been there long enough, and life is short, so I wanted to make a change and not just be sitting in one house the rest of my life.”
Scott Baio Joins California Exodus
This comes amidst a mass exodus from California that has been ongoing for years as the state has become increasingly radically liberal. Last year, the former “Happy Days” star Scott Baio also announced that he would be leaving California to move to Florida.
“I see people… When I drive with my kid, I gotta turn her head away. She’s 14 years old. I see people defecating on the sidewalk,” Baio lamented during a call with the Clay & Buck show. “You see people in parks shooting up. There’s people passed out everywhere. I mean it. It’s not the isolated. It’s all over the place. And I’m about ready to get out of the state. So, you know, just so you guys know, that it’s no joke out here.”
“I think, probably since Governor Newsom, it’s really gotten bad, and maybe a little before that. So, maybe four or five years ago,” he continued. “It’s just… It’s out of control, guys. Listen, I’ve been here for 45, almost 50 years. I’ve seen this place go from an absolute paradise into a cesspool…”
Other Celebrities Flee California
Other celebrities who have fled California recently include the devoutly Catholic movie star Mark Wahlberg and the conservative former “Superman” star Dean Cain, each of whom have moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Wahlberg told Fox News that he made the move to give his four “kids a better life,” while Cain directly said that he left California because the state “has gone crazy” under Democrat leadership.
“I had to leave California,” Cain said back in December. “California has gone crazy in a sense. There’s been so much. Look at the taxation. Look at the regulations. Look at the silly laws that have been passed.”
“There were things that I didn’t agree with, and I’ve been voting here and living here and working here my entire life,” he continued. “I finally got to a place where I was like, I don’t agree with this.”
Liberals have completely run the state of California into the ground, so it comes as no surprise that A-list celebrities like Stallone are fleeing in search of a better life in Florida. If the liberals running California want to keep the rich and famous in their state, they might need to start rethinking some of their most radically leftwing policies.
