‘Dukes Of Hazzard’ Star John Schneider Slams ‘Leftist’ Musicians – Compares Beyoncé To Urinating Dog
The former “Dukes of Hazzard” star John Schneider, who has long been known as one of the only openly conservative stars in Hollywood, is speaking out against “leftist” musicians after the liberal singer Beyoncé released two new country songs.
Schneider Rips Beyoncé
While being interviewed by the conservative outlet One American News, Schneider, 63, was asked about “leftist” musicians in the wake of Beyoncé, 42, entering the country music genre for the first time.
“The lefties in the entertainment industry just won’t leave any area alone, right?” the host asked, according to Daily Mail. “They just have to seize control over every aspect, don’t they?”
“They’ve got to make their mark, just like a dog in a dog walk park. You know, every dog has to mark every tree, right? So that’s what’s going on here,” Schneider replied, seemingly comparing Beyoncé to a urinating dog.
Schneider went on to say that it’s usually the other way around, citing country music artists like Shania Twain trying to break into more mainstream music genres.
“I know a little something about country music,” said Schneider, who released his own country music songs in the 1980s.
Beyoncé Fans Respond
The New York Post reported that fans of Beyoncé have since fired back at Schneider by accusing him of racism.
“Beyoncé can do whatever the f–k she wants to do she doesn’t need your permission John Schneider,” one social media user commented, with another adding, “Can we all agree that John Schneider is a hateful ignorant jackass.”
“John Schneider just went after Beyoncé for ‘peeing on his tree.’ I’m here for the schooling he’s about to get,” a third user commented. A fourth person stated, “John Schneider was born in New York and moved to Atlanta at the age of 14. Just because he slapped on some Levi’s and pretended to be southern 4 years later for ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ does NOT make him an expert on what is and isn’t country. He’s a racist jackass is what he is.”
Beyoncé dropped her two new country music songs “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages” after the Super Bowl last week.
Secret Service Investigates Schneider
Schneider is no stranger to both controversy and backlash. Back in December, the Secret Service launched an investigation into him after he seemingly called for President Joe Biden to be “publicly hung” for “treason.”
“Mr. President, I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son, too. Your response is..? Sincerely, John Schneider,” he wrote in a social media post that has since been deleted, according to People Magazine.
Schneider has since denied calling for Biden’s death, however.
“This is my final comment on this. I neither said nor implied any such thing,” Schneider told Deadline. “Despite headlines claiming otherwise, in my post, I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a U.S. president as many other celebrities have done in the past. I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.”
“It’s my position, which I am entitled to have, that some of our nations [sic.] leaders in Washington have lost their way, and corruption runs rampant, both on our nation’s borders and abroad,” he added. “Transparency and accountability must happen in order for our constitutional republic to survive. There is no threat implied or otherwise in that statement.”
Whether you agree with Schneider’s assessment of Beyoncé or not, it’s clear that he’s one of the only celebrities who isn’t afraid to think for himself these days. What do you think about his latest comments? Let us know in the comments section.
