Biden Had Repeated Mental Lapses, Couldn’t Recall When He Served As Vice President Or When Trump Was Elected: Special Counsel
In his five-hour interview with special counsel Robert Hur, President Biden frequently confused dates, countries, and the sequence of significant events, such as the years his son Beau passed away and Donald Trump was elected, a transcript reveals.
The transcript of the interview which took place over the course of two days was reviewed by Axios. And even the left-leaning outlet is reporting that Biden’s memory issues are striking.
“The transcript supports Hur’s account that Biden had multiple mental lapses, despite recent pushback from the president and the White House,” they report.
The President repeatedly struggled to recall “important” dates and had to be rescued by his legal team on a number of occasions.
“Trump gets elected in November of 2017?” Biden asked during the interview, which of course is incorrect and off by a year. November 8th, 2016, is the single most tragic date in the eyes of Democrats behind January 6th.
In another portion of the interview, the President states that his son Beau is “deployed or is dying” in 2017 or 2018. In reality, Beau Biden tragically passed due to complications from brain cancer in 2015.
Biden’s Mental Acuity Is Worse Than We Thought
It’s really starting to get to the point where this isn’t a joke anymore. Democrats continue to prop up President Biden despite his obvious mental shortcomings.
While Hur’s report earlier this year was damning, seeing a transcript of what he was observing is rather jarring.
The special counsel, you may recall, indicated the President would not be charged for having “willfully retained classified materials” because he’s a “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
Based on that argument, Hur contends it would have been difficult to get a jury to convict somebody that feeble.
And, during the interview, it was clear that Biden couldn’t gather his thoughts enough to even recall when he served as Vice President of the United States.
“If it was 2013 — when did I stop being vice president?” he asked at one point.
“In 2009, am I still vice president?” Biden says at another.
Axios also indicates that Biden struggled to describe a fax machine.
In one remarkable moment, President Biden apparently showed off his mental acuity by … making car noises to show how a Corvette works.
But He Knew What He Was Doing With The Classified Documents
While the interview and testimony from special counsel Robert Hur prove Biden’s mental and memory issues are terrible, it doesn’t quite explain the “well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” defense to protect him.
Hur said his team “identified evidence that the President willfully retained classified materials after the end of his vice presidency.”
He shared it with his ghostwriter by “read(ing) classified information aloud.”
And, Hur maintains, his report “did not exonerate” Biden of wrongdoing
NEW: Special Counsel Robert Hur testifies that he did *not* exonerate President Joe Biden.
The moment came after Democrat Rep. Pramila Jayapal claimed that Biden was exonerated.
Hur said he did not exonerate Biden which prompted Jayapal to have a fit and move on.

The classified information was spread out seemingly everywhere, according to Hur.
Classified documents were found…
At the Penn Biden Center? "That's correct."
In President Biden's garage? "Yes."
And in his basement den? "Yes."
And his main floor office? "Correct."
And his third floor den? "Correct."
At the University of Delaware? "Correct."

And while his mental lapses are many, they weren’t as prevalent when he actually committed the crimes.
Representative Matt Gaetz heavily criticized Hur for not pursuing charges based on what he called a “senile cooperator theory.”
“You find in your report that the elements of a federal criminal violation are met,” Gaetz (R-FL) presses. “But then you apply this senile cooperator theory that because Joe Biden cooperated and the elevator didn’t go to the top floor, you don’t think you’d get a conviction.”
MATT GAETZ: Joe Biden said, "I guarantee I did not share classified information." That's not true, is it?
HUR: "That is inconsistent with the findings."
MATT GAETZ: Joe Biden said, "All the classified documents were in lockable filing cabinets." That's not true, is it?
What To Do?
Democrats have to walk an incredibly tight line here in their defense of the President. Either Biden was mentally unfit to stand trial. Or, he is of sound mind today as he was at the time he mishandled the documents, and should have been tried.
More concerning for America right now? The inescapable conclusion that President Biden is not mentally fit to run the country. And he most certainly should not be tasked with handling the nuclear codes.
All the while, the White House continues to insist the Commander-in-Chief does not need to take a cognitive test. Hur’s testimony seems to suggest he’d struggle simply filling out his name on that test.
